Hello Mr Maarten,
We have made the food packets for pore people. We have taken some ( quite a lot ) to Hiliseu Horia and distributed them there. It was very welcomed and they phoned me more then 15 times a day when will I come with this packets. ( sometimes I am sorry that they have my phone number. Everyone in the camp there who has a phone has called me at least 1 time a day last week asking me when do I come. ) So they drove me crazy with the phone calls. But they were really happy for all the things they received , and were really happy to help because it was for them and they used it for food. It is spring time , and there is no food arownd , so it is quite hard on them .
Also the mayor from that village called me and asked me if we can help. So this was a really nice gift for them , and it was a true celebration for all of them .
The poor family from the same village, ( the one with the broken house on the road) received a gift of bricks for repairing their house. So they wait for the good weather and they will start to repair it ( I think )
There are lots of poor families around as the economical situation is very bad in Romania and things do not get better at all. More and more people loose jobs and do not have enough food on the table.
So on behalf of all of them , a very big THANK YOU to you and the people who are behind you and made this possible. We all know that it is a effort and it is really hard in times like this.
